Privacy Policy    Effective December 2015

I Have A Dream Foundation - Newark (“IHAD”) has created this statement to demonstrate our firm commitment to your privacy and to describe IHAD’s privacy policy for our website (the “Site”), including all online functions and services.   This policy is your guide to how we will handle information we receive about you from your visit to the Site, including any information submitted by you through the Site.

Cookies - Cookies are small files stored on a user’s computer for record-keeping purposes.  IHAD uses both session ID and persistent cookies on this Site.  Session ID cookies expire when you close your browser.  If you check “remember me on this computer” – or some similar option depending on your browser – when logging in to the site, IHAD also sets a persistent cookie to store your username and password so that you do not have to enter it again.  The persistent cookie also enables IHAD to track and target the interests of users and to enhance the user experience on the Site.  Your browser may allow you to restrict the use of cookies on your computer.  If you choose to reject cookies, you may still use the Site, but some functions may be limited.

Links - We may provide links to other sites that may contain information of interest to our readers. We are not responsible for, and exercise no control over, the organizations, views, or accuracy of the information presented on other sites.   We are also not responsible for the privacy practices of such other sites.  This privacy policy applies only to information collected on this Site.

Anonymous Data - IHAD may track the Site to analyze trends, administer the Site, track usage of the Site, and gather demographic information for aggregate use.  Such analysis is not linked to personally identifiable information.  We collect and store only the following information about you: the name of the domain from which you access the Internet (for example, aol.com, if you are connecting from an America Online account, or rutgers.edu if you are connecting from Rutgers University's domain), the date and time you access our site, and the Internet address of the Web site from which you linked to our site.  We use the collected information described above to measure the number of visitors to the different sections of our site, and to help us make our site more useful to visitors.

Email - In addition to registering, you may also provide IHAD with personally identifying information through other means on the Site, including in an email message containing a question or comment, or in a form that provides us such information. We use personally identifying information from email primarily to respond to your inquiries. We may also use your email to contact you in the future about our programs that may be of interest.

We will not obtain personally identifying information about you when you visit our site, unless you choose to provide such information to us. Providing such information is strictly voluntary. Except as might be required by law, we do not share any information we receive with any outside parties.  If you sign up for one of our email lists, we will only send you the kinds of information you have requested. We won't share your name or email address with any outside parties.

Minors - Children under the age of 13 are not permitted to register on this Site or use any functionality for which registration is required. We do not collect personal information from children under the age of 13, and if we learn that we have inadvertently gathered any such personal information, we will take reasonable measures to promptly remove it from our records.

If you are between the ages of 13 and 18, you represent that your legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to your registration, and to the Site's policies.

Release of Information - IHAD may release information concerning your use of the Site when it believes in good faith that such release is appropriate to comply with the law (including, but not limited to, compliance with subpoenas, warrants, or any other court orders), to protect against fraudulent, abusive or unlawful use of the Site, to protect IHAD’s rights or property, or if IHAD reasonably believes that a situation involving danger of death or injury to any person requires disclosure.

Changes to this Privacy Policy - If IHAD decides to change its privacy policy, IHAD will post those changes on the Site so that users can remain aware of what information IHAD collects, how IHAD uses it, and under what circumstances IHAD discloses it.

Questions about our policies - If you have any questions about this privacy statement, the practices of this site, or your dealings with this Web site, you can contact us at our Contact page.
