Amy Gillon is committed to building confidence, nurturing individuality, and promoting growth among Dreamer scholars.
With three years of teaching experience, Amy brings creativity and enthusiasm to the classroom, always striving to make learning engaging and fun. She is especially passionate about building strong relationships with her students and ensuring that every Dreamer knows they have someone they can turn to for support and guidance.
Originally from Newark, New Jersey, Amy has always felt a strong desire to give back to her community. She began her journey in education in 2020 as a paraprofessional at Thirteenth Avenue while looking for a career that aligned with her son’s school schedule, and later joined IHDFNJ after being connected to the opportunity by her mother-in-law.
Outside of work, Amy enjoys reading and doing makeup.
