We integrate math in fun and creative ways to help our Dreamer Scholars develop a strong foundation while fostering a love for the subject. Through hands-on activities, games, and real-life applications, we make math engaging and accessible.

Mathematics

  • NBA Math Hoops

    NBA Math Hoops, a basketball-themed game that helps our Dreamers sharpen their math skills while learning about the game of basketball. They work on key math concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, all while keeping score and tracking player stats.

  • Math Jenga

    A player chooses a specific block, solves the addition, subtraction, multiplication, or division question associated with it. Once they answer correctly, they dreamer pulls the block from the tower and place it on top (like jenga!), but a wrong answer passes the turn to the next player without a move.

  • Grade Level Math

    Our Dreamers continue to master grade-level standards while developing critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Our math lessons are tailored to each Dreamer's grade level, which is appropriate and challenging.

  • Math Clock Wheel

    Students solve the equations by combining the outer clock numerals with the central operator, writing the resulting sums, differences, products, or quotients just outside the rim of the wheel.

We prioritize literacy development to help our Dreamer Scholars become confident and passionate readers and writers. We tailor our lessons to meet each child's unique needs, whether they're building foundational literacy skills or expanding their ability to analyze texts. By fostering a love for reading and providing opportunities for self-expression, we help students strengthen their communication abilities and build a lifelong love of learning.

  • Reading Comprehension

    Using platforms like ReadWorks and CommonLit, our Dreamers scholars have access to an extensive library of reading materials that promote literacy and critical thinking skills.

  • Paragraph Correction

    Our scholars practice editing paragraphs to enhance their writing skills. They learn to identify grammatical errors, improve sentence structure, and choose more precise vocabulary.

  • Grade Level ELA

    Our Dreamer Scholars engage in grade-level activities to ensure they establish a solid foundation in reading, writing, and critical thinking.

We provide hands-on STEAM experiences that encourage our Dreamer Scholars to explore, create, and solve problems. Through activities in science, technology, engineering, the arts, and mathematics, we give students opportunities to ask questions, test ideas, and learn through experimentation. By connecting learning to real-world experiences and creative projects, we help students build critical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving skills while developing curiosity and confidence.

    Dreamers explore nature through hands-on gardening activities, learning about plants, sustainability, and the importance of caring for their environment.

  • Cooking

    Through cooking activities, Dreamers learn practical kitchen skills while exploring recipes, ingredients, nutrition, and the process of preparing food.

  • Woodwork

    Dreamers develop hands-on skills by designing, building, and creating projects with wood while practicing creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork.

We provide creative experiences in art and music that encourage our Dreamer Scholars to explore their interests, express themselves, and build confidence. Through hands-on activities, students have opportunities to experiment with different forms of creative expression. By making space for creativity and individuality, we help students develop communication, collaboration, and self-expression skills while discovering new ways to share their ideas.

  • Painting

    Through painting, Dreamers explore color, texture, and different artistic techniques while developing their creativity and self-expression.

  • Bracelet Making

    Bracelet-making projects introduce patterns, colors, and different materials while giving Dreamers the opportunity to design and create something of their own.

  • Crocheting

    Dreamers learn basic crochet techniques while developing patience, focus, and fine motor skills through the creation of individual projects.
