Beyond the traditional 1:1 mentoring, we have incorporated group mentoring and emphasized building relationships with 5 scholars during the mentoring sessions. By creating the group mentoring sessions, all dreamer scholars have the opportunity to be a mentee and be matched with a caring and supportive mentor who can provide guidance and advice on their academic and personal goals.

1:1 Mentoring: Individual mentoring sessions provided dedicated time for mentors and Dreamers to build relationships, discuss personal goals, and work through challenges with individualized support. Sessions are available during the school day and after-school hours, allowing mentors to provide consistent, one-on-one support.

1:1 Mentoring

In partnership with Promise Youth University, the "Inspire the Dream!" program has introduced its peer mentoring program. The Peer Mentoring initiative empowers fifth to eighth-graders to build a supportive bond with our dreamers. We also have worked with high schools such as KIPP New Jersey to expand mentoring opportunities and create positive connections among students. Through the power of homework help and relationship building, peer mentoring aims to create a culture of support and encouragement at Thirteenth Avenue School.
