End of the School Year Activities 2026

IHDFNJ kicked off the month of June with a week filled with fun, creativity, friendly competition, and opportunities for Dreamer Scholars to celebrate together.

Making Lemonade

On June 1st, the Dreamers scholars spent time in the garden making their own lemonade, enjoying the hands on experience of squeezing fresh lemons and creating their own refreshing drinks.

Movie Day

The following day, scholars enjoyed a movie day where they popped their own popcorn and chose a favorite movie to watch with their peers.

Jeopardy

The celebrations continued on June 3 with IHDFNJ’s annual Jeopardy game. Scholars from every grade level came together in groups to compete across a variety of categories, including IHDFNJ facts and a special challenge featuring baby pictures of Dreamer Scholars.

Staff vs Students

On June 4, scholars and staff faced off in the annual Staff Versus Students competition, which included Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Cup, a cup relay race, and a final round of Rock Paper Scissors Shoot. The staff members finished with 14 points compared with 11 points for the scholars, earning their second consecutive victory.

The week gave Dreamers an opportunity to relax, connect with their peers, and celebrate the end of the school year through experiences that brought the entire IHDFNJ community together. From making lemonade and enjoying movies to testing their knowledge and competing against staff, each activity created memorable moments for scholars to carry with them into the summer.
