Dreamer Scholars Explore Sandy Hook

For their third trip, the Dream Scholars visited Sandy Hook and the New Jersey Sea Grant Consortium (NJSGC) for an educational day focused on marine and coastal resources.

The trip began at the NJSGC, where the Dream Scholars learned about the organization’s research and its work to better understand and protect marine and coastal environments.

The group later headed to Sandy Hook Beach, where they learned about the different types of shells found along the shore. The Dream Scholars had the opportunity to explore the beach and choose their own shells to take home as a memorable part of their experience.
