From Planting to Crafting: How We Celebrated Earth Day 2026

On April 22, IHDFNJ celebrated Earth Day with a hands-on experience designed to help Dreamer Scholars connect creativity, learning, and environmental awareness.

Scholars decorated their own plant pots and planted sunflower seeds, giving them an opportunity to experience the process of growing something of their own while learning about the importance of caring for the environment.

The celebration continued with creative activities, including decorating wooden cutouts and designing unique jewelry using earthy tones.

The activities provided scholars with an engaging way to express themselves while celebrating the natural world.
